The holder (1) has a container holding unit i.e. resilient lip (9), for holding a bag (23) i.e. tea bag, and a clamping unit i.e. clip (15), for clamping the holder to an edge of a container (25). An end of the holder forms a handle (17), and another end of the holder is formed as a stirring element (19). The holder extends beyond the contours of the bag, where the handle and the stirring element are provided outside the contour of the bag. A pad is movably connected to the handle.
