Disclosed is the crystalline monohydrochloride salt of N-{2-[4-((R)-2-hydroxy-2-phenylethylamino)phenyl]ethyl}-(R)-2-hydroxy-2-(3-formamido-4-hydroxyphenyl)ethylamine (Formula I). Further disclosed are pharmaceutical compositions which comprise a therapeutically effective amount of the above compound. A process for preparing the monohydrochloride salt of the compound of formula I is also disclosed, as is the use of the monohydrochloride salt of formula I in the manufacture of a medicament for treating a disease or condition associated with b2 adrenergic receptor activity in a mammal. The use of the medicament for treating pulmonary diseases such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is further disclosed.
