Disclosed is the use of rimonabant for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment or prevention of a disease related to dyslipidemia and/or obesity, wherein the disease is metabolic syndrome or liver steatosis, in which the medicament further comprises an angiotensin II AT1 receptor antagonist. Further disclosed is a medicament comprising rimonabant and an angiotensin II AT1 receptor antagonist, and optionally a diuretic or a calcium antagonist.
