A method for selecting the diagnostic and treatment strategy in the patients with the obstructive jaundice of non-cancer etiology comprises the ultrasonic examination, the analysis of the blood biochemistry, the endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, and the single-stage and multiple-stage interventions. At the moment of the bile decompression, rheohepatography and the thin-needle biopsy are performed.
