Method for sub-pixel location of edge of object includes registration of image of object ion memory device, setting rectangular areas of image for following determination of boundaries of object, determination of rectangular area for search of edges, use of low-frequency filtration and determination of numbers of pixels between which one finds common point before and after filtration, this is coordinate of edge of object. After determination of rectangular area for search of edges one determines parameters of noise on image, with performing low-frequency filtering, one finds parameters of gauss curve by distribution of boundary curve in points of maximal gradient with formation of unidirectional gauss filter, one performs repetitive filtering of the window of image with finding common point on boundary curves of input image and image obtained as result of repetitive filtration.
