METHOD FOR ESTIMATION AND SELECTION OF FROST-RESISTANT FORMS OF WINTER CEREALS

A method for estimation and selection of frost-resistant forms of winter cereals includes sowing seed of annual breeding material into a vessel, hardening of a plant in natural conditions, freezing the plant in climatic chambers, assessing the viability of the plants, completion of growing thereof in outdoor culture. The sowing is carried out into polyethylene cups in which the bottom is cut out. Critical temperatures of the freezing are calculated. Breeding material is estimated according to the level of frost resistance and selection of frost-resistant forms of the winter soft wheat is carried out.
