A method for the early postoperative infusion therapy in cancer patients after proximal and subtotal resection of the stomach comprises the use of the novel complex drug formulation Xylate intended for normalizing the metabolism and water-electrolyte balance in the body. The drug is infused dropwise in a volume of 800 mL daily for 5 days at the rate of 50 drops per minute.
