METHOD FOR SURGICAL ACCESS TO TUMORS OF CHIASMATIC-SELLAR AREA

A method for the surgical access to the tumors of chiasmatic-sellar area comprises the electrocoagulation of the blood vessels of the tumor capsule and its dissection with the scalpel. The defocused beam of laser is used for coagulation. Then the capsule is dissected circularly with the focused beam of laser at the area between the optic nerves ahead of the chiasm.
