The present Invention uses LIDAR Data to identify attributes of vegetation. It provides a method that assigns Points to individual elements of the vegetation from raw LIDAR Data.The Method includes selecting a position coordinates represented in LIDAR Data has generated a Signal response and if the position coordinates of selected is located within a geographical area assigned to an element of the vegetation previamento identified.Otherwise, the method determines the position of the selected coordinates associated with a new item of vegetation.
