Composition comprising a photoactive compound and a coinitiator and its use as a photoinitiator. The present invention relates to a chemical composition characterized in that it comprises at least: - a first component that is at least one photoactive compound selected from a pyrilium salt, a thiopyrilel salt, a selenopyridyl salt, a teluropyrilium salt, and a salt of the above substituted, and - a second component that is at least one co-blender selected from one or more of the following: - amines, - iodonium salts, - phosphonium salts, - sulfonium salts, - quaternary ammonium salts, - cyclic polyethers, - cyclic polyamines and - combinations thereof, and their use as photoinitiators.
