Container for cooking food with steam.; It comprises a silicone body forming a receptacle for cooking (1) for food containers defined by a side wall of revolution (2) connected to a perforated bottom (3) having a plurality of holes (4) for the passage therethrough steam from a tank (D) containing a liquid (E) boiling. From said side wall of revolution (2) extends radially outwardly an annular flange (5) ending in a perimeter rim (6) axially downwardly. ring (5) fin has a lower surface (7) adapted to support the whole perimeter of an upper circular edge (B) of the tank (D). The radial dimension of said bottom surface (7), between the side wall of revolution (2) and the perimetral rim (6) is sufficient to encompass a range of diameters and a variety of different configurations to said upper circular edge (B) of the tank (D).
