The switch-gear has a busbar chamber (3) with a busbar (1), and a separating and/or connecting and grounding chamber (4) with a separating and connecting unit (7) and a grounding unit (8), where the busbar chamber is arranged in an upper part of a cell (12). The bus bar is arranged horizontal and parallel to a switching side of the cell and electrically connected with a separate switching and/or switching busbar chamber (5) at an upper part of the chamber (5). The chamber (5) is accessible from the switching side, and the chamber (4) is arranged below the chamber (5).
