An egg breaking monitoring procedure wherein the eggs (4) are fed to a plurality of devices for breaking eggs (13) by means of a feeder (3), each device for breaking eggs (13) receiving one egg each once, where the shell of each egg is broken by means of the respective device for breaking eggs and the content of each egg is collected in an egg receiving device (23), each egg receiving device (23) receiving the content of only one egg in each cycle of the process and where the remains held by each device to break eggs after the breaking of the eggshell are discharged to a waste receptacle (15) and the contents of the device for receiving the eggs are discharged into one or more product receptacles (24-27), where for each cycle of the process, a reception status of an egg is established for each of the devices for breaking er eggs by means of a feeding sensor, said state being both the actual reception of an egg from the feeder and the lack of reception of an egg from the feeder and where the presence of at least one of the conditions: (a ) an egg has been dropped, (b) an eggshell is not broken or (c) the yolk's membrane is broken, it is automatically recorded and the presence of an abnormality in the egg's breakage is presented to the operator.
