A three-dimensional virtual space simulator comprises asection for determining the action of an avatar according to theinput by the user and generating action instruction datarepresenting the content of the action, a section for determiningthe action of an agent autonomously and generating actioninstruction data representing the content of the action, and aprocess control section for displaying each character in a virtualspace according to the action instruction data received from thesections wherein the process control section and a graphicprocess section share an interface for receiving the actioninstruction data from the avatar action instruction section, andan interface for receiving the action instruction data from theagent action instruction section. Consequently, a flexibleparticipation mode of the user and high reliability are realized.
