The invention provides a process for producing purified synthesis gas fromsynthesis gas comprising sulphur contaminantsin the ppmv range, the process comprising the step of :(a) contacting thesynthesis gas comprising sulphur contaminantswith solid sorbent comprising a metal organic framework, thereby separatingsulphur contaminants from the synthesis gas to obtainpurified synthesis gas.
