The invention relates to methods for predicting the clinical outcome of apatient which suffers from breast cancerbased on the expression levels of BRCA1, wherein low BRCA1 expression levelsare indicative of a good prognosis. Moreover,the invention relates to methods for predicting the response to a neoadjuvanttherapy based on a combination of ananti-metabo-lite, an intercalating agent and an alkylating agentof a patientwhich suffers from breast cancer based on the expression levels ofBRCA1.
