The present invention relates to a dressing (1) for protecting the skin aroundobjects projecting out from the skin, said dressing comprising a first liquidimpermeable film layer (2) coated with a skin friendly adhesive (3) on the lowerside thereof, i.e. the side intended to adhere to the skin when the dressing isused. According to the invention a body (4) of absorbent material is enclosedbetween the first film layer (2) and a second liquid impermeable film layer (5),said second film layer being affixed to the first film layer in parts extendingbeyond the periphery of the body of absorbent material, and the dressing includesmeans (8) for facilitating passing of an object projecting out from the skin throughthe dressing.
