Selected salts of 3-(5,6-dihydro-1,4,2-dioxazine-3-yl)-N-(4,6- dimethoxypyrimidine-2-yl)carbamoylpyridine-2-sulfonamide, method for the production thereof, and use thereof as herbicides and plant growth regulators

Salts of 3-(5,6-dihydro-1,4,2-dioxazin-3-yl)-N-[(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)carbamoyl]pyridin-2-sulfonamide compound (I) are new. Salts of 3-(5,6-dihydro-1,4,2-dioxazin-3-yl)-N-[(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)carbamoyl]pyridin-2-sulfonamide compound of formula (I) are new. M : lithium ion, potassium ion, ion of alkaline earth metals, ion of transition metals, ammonium ion (where 1-4 H are optionally substituted by 1-4C-alkyl, hydroxy-1-4C-alkyl, acylated hydroxy-1-4C-alkyl, 3-6C-cycloalkyl, 1-4C-alkoxy-1-4C-alkyl, hydroxy-1-4C-alkoxy-1-4C-alkyl, 1-6C-mercaptoalkyl, phenyl or benzyl (all optionally substituted by halo (F, Cl, Br or I), NO 2, CN, azido, 1-6C-alkyl, 1-6C-haloalkyl, 3-6C-cycloalkyl, 1-6C-alkoxy, 1-6C-haloalkoxy or phenyl), and two substituents at N together forms an optionally substituted ring), phosphonium-ion, sulfonium-ion, oxonium-ion or optionally saturated aromatic N-containing 1-10C-heterocyclic ionic compound, which is optionally one or more annelated and/or optionally substituted with 1-4C-alkyl; and n : 1-3. The herbicidal activity of (I) was tested against pre-emergence weed such as seeds or rhizomes of mono-and dicotyledonous weeds e.g. Matricaria inodora. The result showed that potassium salt of {[3-(5,6-dihydro-1,4,2-dioxazin-3-yl)pyridin-2-yl]sulfonyl}[(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)carbamoyl]azanide controlled 75% (preferably 80%) of weeds in 100-800 l/hectare.
