A film of fluorescent-substance fine particles which can be formed in any desired thickness on any desired base without impairing functions inherent in the fluorescent-substance fine particles; a process for producing the film; and a display, photosensitive material, and sensor each employing the film of fluorescent-substance fine particles. The film (1) of fluorescent-substance fine particles comprises: a base (14) coated with a coating film formed from a first film-forming compound having a first functional group; and one fluorescent-substance fine-particle layer constituted of reactive fluorescent-substance fine particles (42) arranged in order each coated with a coating film formed from a first coupling agent having a first coupling reaction group which forms a bond by coupling reaction with the first functional group, the fluorescent-substance fine-particle layer being bonded and fixed to the coating surface of the base (14) through bonds formed by the coupling reaction of the first functional group with the first coupling reaction group. Alternatively, the film (1) further includes a layer of fluorescent-substance fine particles (24) each coated with a coating film of a film-forming compound which reacts with the first coupling reaction group and a layer of reactive fluorescent-substance fine particles (42), the layer of the particles (24) and the layer of the particles (42) being alternately bonded and fixed over that fluorescent-substance fine-particle layer.
