METHOD FOR A MEDIA GATEWAY CONTROLLER CONTROLLING A MEDIA GATEWAY PREEMPTING CIRCUIT SOURCE

A method for a media gateway controller controlling a media gateway preempting circuit source includes the following steps that: (a) the preempting control information is carried in a circuit resource adding command transmitted from a media gateway controller MGC to a media gateway MGW; (b) when MGW has found that the circuit resource is repeatedly occupied, it determines whether to preempt the circuit resource according to the preempting control information, and returns a response message to MGC based on the result of adding the circuit. In contrast with the prior art, the preempting method is easy to realize, ensures that a call goes on normally even in the case of that the context data region and the terminal data region between MGC and MGW are not accordant, and cleans up the junk data between MGC and MGW initiatively and in time, thereby the system stability is enhanced.
