A super-resolution optical recording medium (10) is provided with a blank region (2) on which at least two tracks or more to connect prepit columns in a medium information region (1) with prepit columns in a contents region (3) between the medium information region (1) where medium identification information is recorded and the contets region (3) where contents information is recorded. No information is recorded on the blank region (2). Thus, in the super-resolution optical recording medium in which the medium identification recording region and the contents information recording region are arranged in different track pitches, respectively, the present invention provides the super-resolution optical recording medium that is hard to cause a reproduction error in the case where the reproduction shifts from the medium identification recording region to the contents information recording region.
