To provide a physical property value estimating system and method wherein the precision of estimation does not degrade for a particular numerical range, and an age estimating system, a gender estimating system and an age/gender estimating system that use the same. A system for estimating the age of a person appearing in an input image comprises an identifier (3) that estimates, based on data of the input image, the person's age as a discrete quantity; an identifier (4) that estimates, based on data of the input image, the person's age as a continuous quantity; and an integrating part (7) that integrates the estimation result of the identifier (3) with that of the identifier (4).
