Provided is a cartridge-filter type dust collector, which can mount a cartridge filter easily for a short time on a partition in a cabinet. The upper portion of the cartridge filter (F) is inserted together with a holding member (14) into an opening (7) from below the body (8) of a cartridge filter mounting/demounting mechanism (5), and is then turned by a desired angle, so that the cartridge filter is retained in the body by the retaining portion (14a) of the holding member. Likewise, the cartridge filter mounting/demounting mechanism (5) retaining a plurality of cartridge filters is carried from an entrance/exit opening (6) into a cabinet (1). Then, the leading end of the cartridge filter mounting/demounting mechanism is born between the root end portions of a pair of rails (4). After this, the cartridge filter mounting/demounting mechanism is slid on the paired rails to a predetermined position so that the cartridge filter mounting/demounting mechanism can then be fixed below a partition (3).
