One articulated robot (30) is provided for at least two processes and at least two works (6). A bar (32) elongated in the feeding direction is fixed to the distal end of a robot arm (31) and the fixing bar (32) is provided with a holding member (33) and then the work (6) is held by the holding member (33). When the work (6) is fed, the bar (32) is controlled to move along the feeding direction while keeping such a posture as the longitudinal direction of the bar (32) becomes parallel with the feeding direction. Since the arrangement of a conveyor of the transfer press unit and the control of a controller for the conveyor are not complicated but simplified, conveyance of the work is stabilized and efficiency of press work can be enhanced by completing the work for replacing the die, and the like, easily in a short time.
