According to the invention, voltage drop in the case of a short-circuit may be avoided, whereby the electrical network (1) comprises current-limiting devices, embodied as a HTS current limiter (11) and/or semiconductor switch (25) and by means of which the effects of voltage drops in the case of short-circuits on unaffected network components can be limited to a time span in the low millisecond range, in particular 1ms, and thus said voltage drops are limited to the network component concerned.
