AUTOMATIC OPEN/CLOSE DEVICE OF SAFETY DOOR IN INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE OR THE LIKE AND CONTROL METHOD

Disclosed is an automatic open/close device of a safety door which can set freely (arbitrarily) and control an open/close speed or an open position in order to shorten a waiting time required for opening/closing the safety door, and can eliminate the need for a touch switch. A control method thereof is also disclosed. The automatic open/close device of a safety door comprises an electric motor which can be feedback controlled, and a rotation/linear motion conversion mechanism, and can set arbitrarily and control the open position and the open/close speed of the safety door. The open position of the safety door required for taking out a molding is set in the molding process and the open/close operation is controlled. Furthermore, contact of the safety door with a worker or an obstacle during the closing operation is detected based on the torque load of the electric motor and the closing operation is stopped immediately.
