ILLUMINATOR HAVING STRUCTURE OF JAPANESE UMBRELLA

A foldable illuminator which has a simple structure and yet can have its opened shape fixed reliably in use and which can be small in size to be housed while not used. The illuminator (10) having the structure of a Japanese umbrella is composed of one runner (11), many stretchers (12) arranged radially while they are rotationally symmetric with respect to the center shaft (c) of the runner (11), and ribs (13) respectively arranged at the stretchers (12). Around the tips of all the stretchers (12), a regulation member (14) whose circumferential length is shorter than that of the tips of all the stretchers (12) when the stretchers (12) are vertical to the center shaft (c) is stretched to be installed. A washer (15) is provided for fixing the stretchers (12) to the runner (11) while the stretchers (12) are opened fully.
