The invention relates to a method for processing variable composition hydrocarbon gases of gaseous condensate and oil deposits and to a plant for carrying out said method. The inventive method involves aromatising a hydrocarbon gas, extracting the thus formed aromatic hydrocarbons and hydrogen, which hydrogen at least in part is used while producing synthesis gas by means of a gas-phase single-step oxidising conversion with atmospheric oxygen and while using unreacted and formed during conversion hydrocarbon gases, and converting the synthesis gas into methanol. The method also involves subsequently producing from methanol an engine fuel and water and separating, biologically purifying and mineralising said water. The plant comprises an aromatisation unit, a synthesis gas production unit, a methanol production unit, a high-octane gasoline components production unit, a gasoline stabilisation unit and a fresh water preparation unit. The invention makes it possible to enhance the efficiency of the comprehensive processing of the above-mentioned gases, to extend the production of target products therefrom, to improve the environmental ecology and to increase the quantity and quality of the produced fresh water.
