Anhydrous powder composition (I) for dyeing human keratin fibers, comprises one or more oxidation dyes (A) comprising benzene compound; one or more complexes of hydrogen peroxide and a polymer comprising at least one vinyl heterocyclic monomer; and one or more alkaline agents. An independent claim is included for a method for dyeing the human keratin fibers comprising mixing (I) with an aqueous composition and applying the resulting composition on the keratin fibers, leaving and rinsing the fibers.
