An apparatus and a method for locating and navigating the digital television server content are disclosed. The apparatus includes a searching engine module (11, 12) set in the digital television serving system and the terminal system, and an inputting controlling device set in the terminal system which is connected electrically with the searching engine module (11, 12) by the control signals. The method includes the following steps: the digital television serving system establishes the index about all the directories of the interactive server content provided by the server provider by using the searching engine module (11), and the terminal system carries out locating and navigating by using the searching engine module (12).
