The method involves associating a unicast address and content data conveyed by a multicast stream. Data reception request is sent to a multicast stream broadcasting service management server (20) by an interface (52) such as Ethernetinterface, via a data processing device i.e. gateway (10). Information linking the unicast address and the required content data is identified by the data processing device, where the device has a modem (32) provided with a reception unit for receiving the multicast stream.
