The present invention relates to a device for controlling and monitoring vacuum pressure when secretions and any other biological fluids are extracted by suction from the airways. The device uses a vacuum pressure regulating valve integrated in a monitoring system that can be coupled to the vacuum network in a hospital and to portable suction equipment, in ambulatory and home practice. The device is designed for controlling and monitoring the maximum vacuum pressure applied during suction and for avoiding lesions during the suction process.
