Process for preparing a transparent molded article comprising an alloy of a thermoset polymer material forming the matrix of the article, and a thermoplastic polymer material dispersed within the thermoset polymer material, comprises: preparing a liquid polymerizable mixture by dissolving the thermoplastic polymer material in thermosetting precursor composition of the matrix; filling a mold with the liquid polymerizable mixture; polymerizing the liquid polymerizable mixture until obtaining a hard polymer alloy; and removing the molded article formed by the combination of polymers. Process for preparing a transparent molded article comprising an alloy of a thermoset polymer material forming the matrix of the article, and a thermoplastic polymer material dispersed within the thermoset polymer material, comprises: preparing a liquid polymerizable mixture by dissolving the thermoplastic polymer material in thermosetting precursor composition of the matrix; filling a mold with the liquid polymerizable mixture; polymerizing the polymerizable liquid mixture until obtaining a hard polymer alloy; and removing the molded article formed by the combination of polymers, where the thermosetting composition comprises dimethacrylate of 4,4'-di (ethoxyethyl)-bisphenol A (60 wt.%, preferably 70-85 wt.% ), and at least one monofunctional or multifunctional acrylic comonomer (12 wt.%, preferably 15-30 wt.%) and the thermoplastic polymer material comprises at least polystyrene-block-polybutadiene-block-poly(methyl methacrylate) triblock copolymer (PS-b-PB-b-PMMA).
