To establish the electricity consumption through branch lines (1,2), e.g. to motors (M), the current and voltage are registered together with time data (t) from a timer (T). The data are passed through a transmission bus link (B) to be processed in an evaluation unit (V) with the time data to give the power consumption. The voltage is established only at the single feed point (E).
