Method and device for controlling and/or monitoring a group of building technical components with a redundant server plan

The device has active and passive servers (22, 24) provided in communication paths to building components for executing applications e.g. Double Take(RTM: affordable and easy-to-use software product). A virtual-data-memory is synchronized and server-addresses are monitored in the device. The servers are selected for controlling and/or monitoring of the building components. A status of server redundancy is monitored and/or visualized, and/or control options e.g. restart server, in the applications are executed in case of intentional or unintentional failures of one of the servers. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling and/or monitoring building components.
