The display device for two dimension / 3-D display is provided to prevent the brightness lowering and lower the number of component. The apparatus for displaying two dimension / three-dimensional image using the back light for scanning comprises the back light(202) irradiating the polarized light for scanning, the retarder(206) transmitted to the light in which phase is maintained and the light in which phase is delayed, the lenticular array(208) transmitting the light from retarder as the direct light, and the display panel(210) irradiated as the light penetrating the lenticular array.
