A composition for inhibiting the proliferation of smooth muscle cells is provided to control the amount of and the discharging rate of drug due to the sustained release. A composition for inhibiting the proliferation of smooth muscle cells comprises a damaged vessel targeting nano particle and an inhibitor of smooth muscle cell proliferation. The damaged vessel targeting nano particle is made of a biocompatible polymer and is combined with the Annexin V on the outer surface. The inhibitor of smooth muscle cell proliferation is contained in the nano particle.
