COMPOSITION FOR TREATING OR PREVENTING ORAL BACTERIAL INFECTION DISEASES COMPRISING AN EXTRACT OF SARGASSUM SAGAMIANUM

A composition for preventing or treating the oral disease and an antibacterial composition are provided to prevent or treat paradentitis or gingivitis and to improve antibacterial activity by using the extract of Sargassum sagamianum. A composition for preventing or treating the oral disease comprises the extract of Sargassum sagamianum as an effective ingredient. Preferably the extract of Sargassum sagamianum is a crude extract extracted by using at least one selected from the group consisting of 50-100 % C1-C4 alcohols, ethyl acetate, hexane and dichloromethane as an extraction solvent.
