An apparatus for fixing the stitch dial position, and a sewing machine containing the device are provided to prevent the misoperation of a dial due to vibration, etc. An apparatus for fixing the stitch dial position comprises a fixing bushing(110) which surrounds the upper end part of the axis member provided at the back central part of a dial member; a fixing ring(120) which is provided with a fixing hole having a spiral groove and is combined with the fixing bushing; and a fixing member(130) which is combined with the spiral groove formed at the fixing hole to pressurize the fixing bushing.
