A signal combining apparatus capable of satisfying the maximum transmission capacity in a cellular system utilizing a distributed antenna and a resource allocation method using the same are provided to maximize the transmission capacity of the whole cell by sharing channel information of MSs which are randomly distributed in a cell through a wired link between BSs or RSs when signals are coupled in a wired RS system. A base station(BS) compares the channel transmission capacity of a single repay station with the channel transmission capacity obtained by coupling signals of two or more relay stations, in order to select the bigger transmission capacity. One or more relay stations(RS2,RS3) transmit channels to mobile terminals(MS1-MS3) in a single type or a group type. The mobile terminals receive channels from the base station or a single relay station, or channels obtained through the signal coupling from a group of relay stations.
