A combustion furnace has a length large enough to locate the tip of a flame on the inside of the combustion furnace as compared with the other end thereof and to provide a predetermined distance between the tip of the flame and the other end of the combustion furnace. Inside diameter of the combustion furnace has a value not smaller than the minimum value within a range of not touching the flame or a value thereabout, and the channel of oxygen containing gas is constricted at one or a plurality of positions in a region from the tip of the flame to an exhaust opening within the combustion furnace.
