MATHOD FOR SERVICE DISCOVERY AND FAULT MANAGEMENT IN UPNP BASED

A service search and a service failure sensing method using UPnP(Universal Plug and Play) capable of detecting the decline of SLA are provided to support the management of a service such as an acquire of control value without a service call. A control point transmits an action request to a control URL for calling operation in an NMS service. A control point(402) searches a service. A UPnP provider(401) performs a subscription request about the service for receiving an alarm message. A publisher continuously transmits an event message to a demonstrator until the proof time exceeds. The UPnP provider calls the checkForSLADegradation() function of the fault management module in order to check the decline of the service.
