A supernatant catchment apparatus of a sedimentation basin and the sedimentation basin using the catchment apparatus are provided to install a catchment waterway promptly and accurately even when a wall surface of the sedimentation basin is not vertical or truly circular by using a freely rotatable connecting supporting unit and a catchment waterway support having a vertical height adjusting unit and a horizontal angle adjusting unit. A supernatant catchment apparatus of a sedimentation basin comprises a base supporting plate(3), a height adjusting unit, a support(1), a horizontal supporting plate, a supernatant catchment waterway(5), a flexible joint(8), and a supernatant drainpipe(9). The base supporting plate is fixed perpendicularly to a wall of the sedimentation basin. The height adjusting unit is integrally fixed to the base supporting plate. The support is freely rotatably assembled into the height adjusting unit. The support is capable of controlling its horizontal angle. The horizontal supporting plate is movable in a radius direction and a circumferential direction. The horizontal supporting plate is freely rotatably installed on a catchment waterway support through a hinge structure. The supernatant catchment waterway includes an overflow eir and a scum checking plate. The supernatant catchment waterway forms a supernatant waterway. The supernatant catchment waterway is installed on the horizontal supporting plate.
