A method for transferring contents, a method for negotiation between a server and a terminal when a session is set, a DCD system and the terminal thereof are provided to configure contents optimized for a setting value of each terminal by using the setting value that a contents provider obtains through negotiation of an upper layer. A terminal transmits a session request message for initiating a service session with a server. The server transmits a session response message as a response about the session request message. The server informs a contents provider(300) of information about performance of each terminal kind that a processing unit manages. If the contents provider receives the information about performance of each terminal kind, a contents generating unit generates contents suitable for the performance of each terminal kind by using the information. The generated contents are transferred from the contents provider to the server.
