A MULTI-CHANNEL PRECISION HORSEPOWER MEASURING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR A PROPULSION SHIP OF A TWIN-AXIS

A multi-channel precision horsepower measuring apparatus of a twin-axial propulsion ship and a method thereof are provided to prevent measured value difference due to the property between apparatuses by measuring horse power by using one apparatus. A multi-channel precision horse power measuring apparatus(100) of a twin-axial propulsion ship comprises: a strain gage(10) which is installed at the rotary axis of engines(90, 91) and measures torsional stress; a RPM sensor(20) sensing the number of rotation; a transmitter module(30) which is installed at the rotary axis of the engine and transmits the measured torsional stress data; a first transmission-reception antenna(40) receiving the measured number of rotation; a torsion meter(50) indicating the data received from the first transmission-reception antenna; an analog output(60) which is connected to the torsion meter, and converts the indicated data value into analog value; and a computer(70) equipped with a second transmission-reception antenna(80) connected to transmit and receive the measured value.
