摘要

A proton conducting polymer containing a phosphonic and sulfonic acid group is provided to ensure excellent thermal and mechanical stability, and to prepare a polymer electrolyte membrane which can be operated in the condition of high temperature and low humidity. A proton conducting polymer containing a phosphonic and sulfonic acid group comprises the steps of: (i) manufacturing a sulfonated/brominated proton conducting polymer by directly polymerizing a sulfonated aromatic monomer, a monomer which does not contain a sulfone group, and a fluorine monomer containing brome; (ii) manufacturing a copolymer where brome introduced in repeating units is substituted with phosphate, by performing phosphonation of the sulfonated/brominated proton conducting polymer; and (iii) hydrolyzing the copolymer with an concentrated hydrobromic acid.
