A CNG(Compressed Natural Gas) tank assembly of a CNG carrier is provided to reduce the cost and time for manufacturing a CNG tank assembly of laminated structure, and to facilitate maintenance, repair and replacement of each CNG tank. A CNG tank assembly of a CNG carrier comprises a plurality of CNG tanks(110) laminated vertically and a plurality of fastening units(120) arranged along the edges of the CNG tanks between the CNG tanks to join the tanks detachably. The fastening unit is made up of a fixing bracket(121), a fixing piece(122), and a fixing bar(123). The fixing bracket is installed on one of laminated surfaces(111) the CNG tanks facing each other, and has a mounting space opened to one side and horizontally penetrated by a first fastening hole(121b). The fixing piece is installed on the other of the laminated surfaces to be inserted into the mounting space of the fixing bracket, and has a second fastening hole aligned with the first fastening hole. The fixing bar is inserted into the first and the second fastening hole to suppress the separation of the fixing piece and the fixing bracket.
