A gadolinium-based phase separating metallic amorphous alloy having unique magnetic properties is provided to facilitate manufacturing amorphous base nano-composite by selectively nano-crystallizing composition which is phase-separated through a thermal process or adjustment of the cooling speed. A gadolinium-based phase separating metallic amorphous alloy having unique magnetic properties is indicated as general equation Gd100-a-b-c(TM1)a(TM2)bAlc. In the equation, TM1 is one kind selected from Hf and Ti and TM2 is one kind selected from Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Ag and a, b, and c have the range of 5=a=50, 10=b=30, and 10=c=35 at atomic weight%. The amorphous alloy can be Gd-Hf-Fe-Al system. The amorphous alloy can be Gd-Hf-Co-Al system. The amorphous alloy can be Gd-Hf-Ni-Al system. The amorphous alloy can be Gd-Hf-Cu-Al system.
