An SCAR (sequence characterized amplified region) marker for identifying an Artemisia iwayomogi and multiplex PCR method are provided to identify Artemisia iwayomogi, Artemisia capillaris Herba, and A. japonica. An SCAR marker for identifying an Artemisia iwayomogi is amplified with a primer pair which has a sequence of the sequence numbers 19 and 20. The SCAR marker is denoted by the sequence number 30 or 31. A method for identifying the Artemisia iwayomogi comprises: a step of isolating DNA sample of plant; a step of amplifying the DNA sample with a kit for identifying the Artemisia iwayomogi; and a step of identifying SCAR marker through electrophoresis.
