A watermark insertion and an extracting method using a mesh-spectrum transform and B- spline curve modeling extracting the watermark are provided to insert the watermark by extracting a B-spline curve and modeling the B- spline curve. A B- spline modeling is performed and curve is generated(S120). The control points of curve are extracted. The mesh-spectrum coefficient of n is calculated based on the control points of the extracted curve(S130). The count values are changed about the calculated mesh-spectrum coefficient. The mesh-spectrum inverse transform is performed about the inserted mesh-spectrum coefficients. The B-spline curve is based on the control point the reconfiguration.
